Meet Erika

Hi, I’m Erika. I’m a Pilates instructor based in Stanford in the Vale, and I love helping people feel stronger, more balanced, and more at ease in their bodies. I teach classes across the Vale of the White Horse and bring a supportive, down-to-earth approach to every session.

My Journey

My interest in movement started when I was young, and I’ve always loved exploring how the body works and what it’s capable of. Over time, I found myself drawn to Pilates for its focus on strength, posture, and mindful movement.

After years of practicing as a student, I decided to train as an instructor so I could share what Pilates had given me. Since qualifying, I’ve been teaching weekly classes and working with people of all levels. What began as something I did for myself has grown into something I feel lucky to share with others.

Why I Love Teaching Pilates

For me, Pilates is about more than exercise, it’s about helping people feel confident in how they move. I like to give clear guidance and hands-on support so that everyone can get the most out of their practice.

Some of my favourite moments are seeing a student sit taller, discover their core strength, or simply leave class feeling better than when they arrived. Those small changes add up, and being part of that journey is what makes teaching so rewarding.

Looking Ahead

I’m currently working towards my Reformer Pilates qualification, which will allow me to offer more variety in my teaching. I’m excited to introduce this equipment soon and give students the chance to experience a new way of moving.

Reformer Classes Coming Soon

Once I’m fully qualified, I’ll be offering private 1-to-1 Reformer sessions here in Stanford in the Vale. The Reformer is a fantastic piece of equipment that adds new options and challenges to Pilates practice.
